Dana Lieberman

Artist Bio:

Dana Lieberman earned a BA degree in Photography from Manhattanville College, in Purchase New York. While attending college, in addition to accessing the art world in NYC, she had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in England for one year. It was during this time that she developed an interest in studio art-specifically painting and drawing. She continued to find influence through travel and the study of Art History. Upon graduation, Dana lived in Santa Fe, NM where she found inspiration from the Native American Art community and the stunning landscape of the Southwest.

Eventually making her way back to her hometown of Atlanta, she earned her professional certificates in Massage Therapy and Yoga, while starting a family. At the age of 43, she returned to her love of painting, beginning with oil pet portraits. The realistic likeness and personality that Dana captured made her an in demand pet portrait artist. In addition to her love of oil painting, Dana also works with acrylic, utilizing a variety of materials, including charcoal, oil pastels, found objects and plaster. Dana has many wonderful clients across the US.

She currently resides in Atlanta, Ga with her husband, two young adult children and their 13 year old Labradoodle, named Hershey.

Artist Statement:

I consider my role as an artist as a fortuitous opportunity to capture and reflect the beauty of nature, transformation and texture. Building layers while subtly revealing treasures of color and texture is pure joy for me. My hope is for anyone that sees a piece of my art, that they are drawn to touch and interpret their meaning. I also find pure delight in giving my work a title and when I post it, I add a song that pulls it all together:)
